Just had a Baby? You need a public health nurse.

A public health nurse will:

  • give breastfeeding support, breast pump loans
  • weigh and assess your baby
  • give postpartum maternal support
  • teach you how to care for your new baby
  • immunization
Postnatal Program 
  • Phone follow up within 24-48 hours after discharge
  • visist within one week after discharge
  • Breastfeeding support
  • Teaching regarding infant care, safety and injury prevention, immunization, etc.
  • Referral to physician and other community support at appropriate
