Addictions Services
  • Services provided to adults who are experiencing substance use difficulties with alcohol, drugs, gambling and tobacco
  • Assessment, outpatient counseling and referrals to treatment and detox centres available
  • Protection of Children Abuse Drugs Act is available to parents whose adolescents are placing themselves at risk through abuse of substances
  • Young Adult (18-25) in patient treatments centres

1. Action North Recovery

  • Short Term Residential Treatment (28Day)
    • client must be drug and alcohol free for 5 days by admission
  • Long Term Residential Treatment (90Day)
    • client must have completed the short term residential treatment
    • within 30 days after admission of  28 day program and remained a non-user since the 28 day program
  • Women’s Desk (28Day)
    • women who are pregnant and have problem with alcohol or drugs are a high priority
    • immediate admission upon confirmation of pregnancy

3. NWR FASD Society: Mackenzie Network

  • Walk in clinic is a service designed so people are empowered to make changes in their lives by identifying and drawing upon their strengths and resources

  • Short term therapy (10 sessions) for depression, anxiety, bereavement, panic attack, eating disorders, suicidal thoughts and behaviour

Assertive Outreach Services

  • Program provides community support for adults suffering from a severe and persistent mental illness
  • Includes adults with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and chronic mood disorder
